Representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Ambulatory Physicians handed over the next tranche of humanitarian aid to the Dnieper Center for Mother and Child. Rudneva. This time, AAM members donated six state-of-the-art neonatal phototherapy devices from benefactors in the United States.
Oleksandr Buyalskyi, Head of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Rudnev Mother and Child Center, received humanitarian aid from the AAM.
In my experience, almost all babies born prematurely suffer from jaundice. About half of them are in my department, so the need for such modern compact phototherapy devices is clear. We have similar devices, but they are quite old and bulky. The devices you have provided allow you to treat children with moderate to mild jaundice when they are close to their mother. It is less stressful and quite effective.
It will be recalled that AAM recently handed over humanitarian aid to a family raising children with disabilities.
